Privacy policy

This privacy policy describes how PantryFinder ("we", "us") collects and uses information when you visit our website. It is intended to be plain-English and unambiguous.

What we collect

PantryFinder does not require you to create an account. We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any other personally identifying information through normal browsing.

Like most websites, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs that include your IP address, user agent (browser and operating system), the page you requested, and a timestamp. These logs are used solely for security monitoring, debugging, and aggregate traffic statistics. We do not link them to individual visitors.

Cookies

PantryFinder itself does not set cookies for tracking, advertising, or personalization. We do not maintain user profiles across visits.

Advertising

PantryFinder displays advertising in clearly marked slots on listing pages. When advertising is enabled (via Google AdSense or a similar provider), the ad provider may set its own cookies and use its own tracking technologies subject to that provider's privacy policy. You can opt out of personalized ads through your browser settings or through industry tools at optout.aboutads.info.

Search queries

When you search for a pantry by ZIP code or text, your query is processed on the server to look up matching listings. Queries are not associated with your IP address in our application logs and are not shared with third parties.

Children

PantryFinder is intended for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the bottom of this page reflects the most recent change.
