About this directory
PantryFinder maintains a free, public list of food assistance locations in every U.S. state. Listings are sourced primarily from OpenStreetMap — a global volunteer-built map of the world — and supplemented with information from Feeding America's network of 200 food banks and roughly 60,000 partner agencies. We refresh data on a rolling basis to add new pantries and remove ones that have closed.
Coverage is strongest in metro areas with active OpenStreetMap communities — places like New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, the Bay Area, and Washington, D.C. Rural states tend to have fewer mapped locations, so if you don't see a pantry near you, please also try dialing 211 or visiting your regional food bank's locator. Many rural counties are served by mobile pantries that visit different towns on different days of the week.
Every listing on PantryFinder is informational. Hours, eligibility rules, and what's actually on the shelves change constantly. Call before you visit when you can. If a listing is wrong or out of date, please use our contact page and we'll update or remove it.
